1 Day BUCHAREST
Arrival. Transfer and assistance by an English speaking guide. Sightseeing tour of Bucharest including the Palace of the Parliament (also called the House of the People) - the second largest building in the world after the US Pentagon building; the Archbishop's Complex; Calea Victoriei (formerly called "Podul Mogosoaei"), and the Village Museum (established in 1956 by D. Gusti). Overnight.
2 Day BUCHAREST - CURTEA DE ARGES - SIBIU ( 250 km.)
Breakfast. Visit the Chindia Tower (built by Prince Vlad as a watch tower and prison) and the ruins of the former Princely Court of Wallachia. Continue to Curtea de Arges /another former capital of Wallachia during 14th century/, where the Monastery and Master Manole's well (architectural jewels from 16th century are visited. Departure for Sibiu, once the richest town in Transylvania, passing through one of the most spectacular and beautiful areas in Romania. the Olt Valley (narrow pass). On the way, visit Cozia Monastery, erected in 14th century by Mircea the Old, Dracula's grandfather. Accommodation in Sibiu.
3 Day SIBIU - SIGHISOARA -- TARGU MURES- BISTRITA( 250 km.)
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the medieval fortress by foot including the Bruckental Art Museum - one of the best art galleries in Romania, the historic center, the Liar's Bridge, etc. Departure to Sighisoara, the only medieval citadel in Europe that is fully inhabited (it was mentioned for first time in 1280 as "Castrum Sex"). Sightseeing tour of the city, including the Clock Tower Museum, the Cover Stairs and the Church on the Hill. Visit to the house where Vlad Dracula was born (now a cozy restaurant) and two mediaeval attractions: the Torture Room and the Mediaeval Weapons Collection. Ride torward Bistrita with a short stop in the center of the city of Targu Mures. Overnight in Bistrita.
Day 4, BISTRITA - PASO BARGAU - VORONET - GURA HUMORULUI (160 km.)
Breakfast. Today the tour cross the Carpathian Mountain and include visit of the Castle of Count Dracula in Borgo Pass. Continue to Voronet monastery which is the largest and best preserved of all painted churches in Moldavita. It is known as the "Sistine Chapel" of the East, because all paintings are made on a blue background. Undoubtedly the most dramatic work is doomsday. Accommodation in Gura Humorului, in the area of Bucovina.
Day 5, GURA HUMORULUI - SUCEVITA - MOLDOVITA - GARGANTAS DE BICAZ - MIERCUREA CIUC ( 310 km. )
Breakfast. Today we visit the famous monasteries in northern Moldovita, important monuments of UNESCO: Sucevita, Humor and Moldovita. They are famous with their frescoes and awarded by UNESCO with "The Golden Apple" prize. Then return to Transylvania, passing by the Bicaz throat the most impressive of Romania). Then we headed toward the 'Red Lake' - the only one of this kind in Romania. Arrival and check in a hotel in Miercurea Ciuc.
Day 6, MIERCUREA CIUC - BRASOV - SINAIA - BUCHAREST (255 km.)
Breakfast. The tour continues to Brasov, one of the most visited cities in Romania. Afternoon city sightseeing. The city tour includes the Black Church, the Historical Center, Schei Gate. Sinaia is close to the Bucegi Mountains. Although the Sinaia monastery existed here since the seventeenth century, Sinaia gained its fame in the nineteenth century when it became the summer residence of the former Romanian King Carol I of Romania. The tour includes visit of the Peles Castle, an example of German architecture. After then continue to Bran Castle, a medieval fortress, known worldwide under the name of Dracula's Castle. Return to Bucharest. Transfer to the airport. Departure to the point of origin.
